QuickVet

State of the art technology

The QuickVet® Specialty Analyzer™ is able to diagnose different conditions using disposable single-use QuickVet® cartridges based on advanced microfluidic technology. Each cartridge contains all of the reagents necessary for a specified test.

The analyzer has a large 7” touch screen for easy operation and is capable of stand alone operation for up to 1.000 consecutive tests using the powerful onboard computer with its 4 GB solid state memory.

The measuring principle applied in the analyzer is that of an absorption measurement using visible UV light. This combined with the technical functionality offered by microfluidics in the cartridge enables tests based on as different assay principles as Turbidity, Hemagglutination and Viscosity change.

The instrument automatically detects when a cartridge has been inserted into the analyzer and based on the type of test cartridge inserted, guides the user through easily understood screens for each step of the test. As such the only training required is normally to read the laminated quick-guide supplied for each test to get an overview and then follow the instructions on the screen.

Normal test time is between 5 - 15 min. for a test and the analyzer emits one or more (user defined) audible beep(s), indicating when sample is to be added to the cartridge and when the test is completed. The test results remain on the display as long as the cartridge remains in the analyzer and can always be retrieved at a later stage from the history screen.

Results can, after the test is completed, automatically be printed on a connected printer or on any external printer in the clinic which is attached to the network via the Auto Printer™ functionality. The information printed is the test type and result along with the time and date the test was run, the Patient ID, Client ID, clinic information and other information, if entered.

Results are also saved in an internal database. Up to 1.000 patient test results can be stored in the analyzer for later printing or downloading to either a practice management system or a spreadsheet.

The analyzer has a full LIS package that enables connection to databases and clinic management software via a standard protocol.
